This tree has yielded 40-50 squirrels over the last 6 years. And is one of our favorite starling spots as well.

We used to get at least one squirrel in this tree and up to 6 one day.

The squirrels are generally in the lower branches and the starlings like to land on the very top

There is something about watching these guys through high mag as they look around.

The total walk is about 3-4 miles each way. There are pockets of sparrows along the entire way.

There are turkeys, deer and big cats that lurk this WMA. Many feral cats are also a problem here. 3 years ago there was a huge cougar that was shot here and left in front of the WMA field office. I was going to grab my QB78 and have my buddy take a picture with it and post it on the Yellow Board but then decided not to...

We generally see 3-4 rooster pheasants here but not today. I did see one crossing the pond as we were walking up.
